Klaviyo is a Boston-built email and SMS marketing platform (NYSE: KVYO) that has grown into the dominant tool for ecommerce businesses, particularly those on Shopify. Used by over 130,000 businesses, it is the email platform Shopify itself recommends.
The free plan covers 250 contacts and 500 email sends per month. Paid plans start at $20 per month for up to 500 active profiles, with no annual contract on self-serve plans. Klaviyo bills on active profiles rather than your total contact count, which can push pricing higher than expected as store traffic grows.
